Brandon Livengood represents companies and individuals facing government enforcement actions, regulatory investigations, and civil litigation involving federal, state, and local authorities. He works with clients across a range of industries to respond to inquiries from state attorneys general, the Federal Trade Commission, and other enforcement agencies, often involving consumer protection and regulatory compliance issues.
Before transitioning to private practice, Brandon served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Texas Office of the Attorney General, where he defended the state, its officers, and agencies in a wide range of civil litigation. Prior to that, he served as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Austin, Texas, where he litigated a broad array of matters. Collectively, Brandon’s government experience gives him firsthand insight into how agencies investigate, litigate, and resolve enforcement actions.
Brandon also has a background in complex civil litigation, including constitutional claims under the First, Fourth, and Eighth Amendments, the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act, and state law claims under the Texas Tort Claims Act. He has handled numerous cases in Texas state and federal courts and brings a practical, informed approach to defending clients against government-driven claims.
